I think I posted the other day about my factory battery going bad in my Yota. Anyway, I decided on a Yellow-Top Optima, correct sized G27F. I DID buy a battery-specific battery tender like Trlrdr suggested. It’s got a setting FOR gel-cells. Here’s the info that I wanted to include: If you’re buying online, make sure you’re buying from an authorized dealer. I would rather buy from my parts guy face-to-face to get the core charge right then and to avoid warranty issues later, plus it puts money where it belongs, in the local economy. Battery: https://www.optimabatteries.com/en-us/yellowtop-deep-cycle-battery/d27fBattery Tender: https://buy.optimabatteries.com/5014/5927/7655/Digital_1200_Battery_Charger_Manual.pdfI bought both because I needed another charger anyway and you get an extended warranty on your battery. Ouch one time.
