We used to pay $95 for a cleaning fee when we rented them. We've seen them in the $300-$500+ range these days for some. The other question is "Do you trust the cleaning?" or are you going to clean again when you get there?

Depends on how things look when I walk in. Dishes and stuff like that I'll always wash before we use them, but e everything else if it looks like it was cleaned before we got there it'll be good to go. Motels are a different story. Always assume they weren't cleaned because they probably weren't.

Come again with that first part.

When we rent a condo, I never clean it when I arrive. They have also seemed clean to me.

Well with the exception to the time that we had a coffee pot full of moldy coffee. My buddy Colby threw it out of the balcony, law was called, turned into a big deal. But it was the Chateau motel in Panama City and we were 21, So it doesn't count towards this conversation. lol

We are on the "owners" list but we do it ourselves. It's only $100 for a 3 bedroom at the Phenix 2 if we let them do it.

The in-laws have a condo and I think the agency charges $75.00. That said, from our experience, most cleaning staff don’t stick around long so their cleaning isn’t that quality. We usually clean behind them when we go in.

We have ours cleaned a few times a year just to get what we miss and it’s $95 at Perdido. Sounds like they may tack some on if it’s a rental.

We have went through a few different cleaning services and the one we have now does an excellent job. I have had some complaints in the past when someone would come in about the home not being cleaned well, so we kept looking until we found the right person.
I have not had a complaint in over a year about the home being clean. She charges me $125 and I would pay more just to keep her.

I do not re-clean. I'll rinse the top plate I grab in case it has sat for a while and has dust on it. I bet plenty of yall sleep in a nasty rotted out trailer at hunting camp and use the same knife to gut a deer and cut your steak, but at least it was rinsed off in the creek first. Maybe just me.

I’m a germ-a-phoebe, but I’ve never worried about our condo cleaning. Unless it smelled, or looked unsightly I probably wouldn’t have given it a second thought. Of course now you you guys have me thinking about it- thanks a lot!

I cant stand the thought of laying in the same bed that a bunch of queers been ru-ruing in. I just drag my camper & my bed where ever I go.

I don’t know what portion of the bill is cleaning fee at the Caribe, but it’s always as clean as it can be. They have fees for everything, so I am sure there is one. Boat parking overnight, trailer parking overnight, etc

If you rent your place thru VRBO or the like and you handle the management yourself, it's hard to find a reliable, hard working cleaning crew and when you do, they aren't cheap and you want to keep them. Think about it, the majority of the places down on the beach are weekly rentals with check in/out days the same. So the cleaning crews are slammed. You expect them to handle linens, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, everything, full service manage the place being ready for the next renter and if they drop the ball, it's you and your condo that gets the bad review. Should the owner have to eat the cleaning fee b/c of the mess you left behind and the work that's required to get it ready to the satisfaction of the next round of guests?

It’s $50 bucks for a studio in Sandestin. I believe they charge something like $50 per room, so a 3 bed would be around $150
