Browning, if you want reliability and good quality photos for a decent price. The cheap wal mart Tasco, if you just want to see what's coming through at what time and not worry about leaving it in the woods.

The Tasco is what works for me. I was buying $100 cams and locking them up with python locks and still getting a few stolen. Tried the Tasco and was impressed for the price. I hide them best I can, don't lock them and for $30 don't worry about them.

I find the best price I can and buy a few at a time. I have never had any camera over $250, but I have owned several Moultries, Primos, WGI, Tasco, cuddebacks, stealthcam, and bushnell. Possibly some others I can't remember. NONE OF THEM stand out as being better than the others. I normally find myself buying 2-3 of the same camera at a time and most of the time one will last 3+ years with no issues, and one will start giving problems much sooner. After the first season 1 out of 2 of the very same cameras will start to act differently (# of pictures taken, battery life, blank cards, etc...)

For what its worth, it does seem like the last couple batches I have bought seem to be lasting longer overall.

Good advice here.

I use about 30 trail cameras on 2000 acres. Most are either Browning or Bushnell. I left Bushnell and went to Browning, then went back. I left Bushnell because they had a lot of problems in their 2009-2011 models. I was told by the factory they tried using a different manufacturer those years, had lots of problems, and went back to the previous manufacturer in 2011. Both take good pictures, but the Brownings I had were slower. I got to many pictures of the hindquaters of a deer leaving the picture frame.

I tried Primos and sold them all after a single season. Didn't even open some of them, because the pictures were so bad from the ones I did hang. Night vision pics mixed in with daylight, etc.

I am still running some of the same Moultrie 880 series that I started with 8 years ago. Now buying the A30i series, and happy with them as well.

The last two years I havent fooled with cameras on my main property. My BIL did on our family land. The outcome didnt change on either property.

Exactly. thumbup

Brownings are easily the best IMO that arent cell cams. Spartans are my favorite cell cams.

Tascos for the price. Pic quality is actually pretty decent as well as speed. At $32/cam with a Wallyworld 2 yr electronics full replacement warranty, you cant go wrong. Battery life is excellent. We've run 15 of them for the past 2 years and I've actually been very impressed with what you get for the money. Only one has crapped out and we took it back to customer service and they just gave us a new one in the box. I'm done paying big $$ for cameras. At this price, I can replace them all every year if I have to but like I said. No real problems so far at all and we only use them to take inventory anyway.

I've got 6 spypoints , a bunch of wildlife innovations, 2.moultries and 2 browning. The spypoints that are Verizon work good for me and the brownings are the best I've owned.
