With over 16,000 turkeys reported thru Game Check this season are the "powers that be" satisfied? I would like to know what number is their goal. If the harvest numbers go down, that's proof that turkey populations are declining. If the harvest numbers go up, that's proof that we are killing too many.  I have noticed that the last couple of years on aldeer there have been a lot of us saying that we had great hatches and we have a lot of turkeys right now. If we were right, wouldn't that likely lead to more success by hunters?
All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

I am however afraid you are correct PCP. I will be surprised if we don't see a limit reduction. I don't expect a pat on the hunter's backs for more participation of Game Check.
