So the virus has caused us to do a lot more cooking at home.
In fact my wife ate her first restaurant meal last night in over a month.
But she says she hasn't really missed it.
Has anyone else been doing more at home, trying new hings, etc.?

Man I wish I had the discipline to take photos of meals. I sure enjoyed looking at yours. This is quickly becoming my favorite forum.

We hardly ever eat at home. We much prefer the Taco Bell drive thru... grin

Seriously,,, Those all look very tasty.

Y'all know we love to cook at home and Mrs. Irish and I were listening to some of the latest news on the food chain and how they are struggling to adapt to everyone eating at home. You just don't realize how much of our food chain is geared up for providing food to institutions and restaurants and not to the grocery stores and it's really messing things up.

It will be interesting to see how this whole deal will change people's habits. Will they:

A. All run back to restaurants as soon as they open and go back to their normal habits, or...
B. Will people realize (Like Mrs. Irish and I have for a long time) that cooking at home is fun and you (can) actually get better food than at a restaurant.

It's funny you say that.
I have a friend who works at a chicken place and they supply chic fil a
They are doing an employee sale and he offered us some.
36 pound box of raw, seasoned chic fil a grilled nuggets for $20
They butcher and season them before they leave the plant.
I had no clue about this but that answers a little bit about how they are geared towards restaurants.

Thanks.
I learned from you that food likes to be photographed from up close.

Pics look great. But what I don't understand is when you unwrap that Whopper, why doesn't it look like the one in the picture at the drive through..

Lots of good stuff there but how anybody eats grits is beyond me. Never been that hungry.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

You either don't have enough salt or enough butter.
Keep adding until it's good.
In extreme circumstances of grit distaste, add cheese.
