how many of ya'll have used yer natural voice to call a turkey in??? I have, several times, when in the woods working. Never called one in and killed it though. I sound like shitt, ya'll gotta be better than I am at it...

I have called a few when not hunting.

I have with a few. I never have been real good with a mouth call so once they get to where I feel they're getting close ill swap over to my natural voice.

I've "whistled" up fall young. May or may not have shot one of them. Never an adult. My "natural voice" calling ability is not good....

I've alternated between my natural voice and diaphragm to close one in as well as will do soft yelps and purrs with it...I have been refining it for 20 years and can call a turkey pretty good with it, just can't get the volume like my diaphragm can. I owl hoot with my natural voice as well.

The worst turkey sounds I ever heard came from a hen walking through a hardwood bottom.

When I used to turkey hunt a lot I would cluck and purr with my natural voice, but could never yelp or gobble worth a flip.

1 time whenI put on clean britches and forgot my mouth call.

Ive got three hens in a pen out back that dont sound like any turkey call ive heard yet. Compared to most manmade calls they do sound alot like a person trying to do it with their voice.

I got too close under one years ago and didn’t have my mouth call in when he flew down. Yelped with my mouth one time and he strutted straight to me. We grew up practicing all that stuff. Owl hooting, crow calling, yelping, gobbling etc....
I’ve called in hundreds of crows by mouth. Buddy of mine can whistle just like a hawk and I’d crow call. Drives them crazy.

ive called hens and gobblers in with natural voice. I pretty much only use slate calls and if a gobbler or hen get close i just use my mouth. I killed one like that this year, got the hens fired up and they brought two gobblers in all with my mouth. The worst calling you usually hear is from a real hen. I don't think the sound you make is all that important compared to set up, moves, when/how to call etc. I am by no means a champion caller or expert turkey hunter, if i can do it anybody can.

never in the spring but I've messed with them in a deer stand in the winter and called a few in close.

I can purr and cluck pretty good for hen sounds. I can also spit and drum that works pretty good if I have one hang up on me.

3 or 4 times. but I've finished off a few more. I don't sound good anyway but now I'm bad. Getting old or not practicing has me sounding like a hen in assisted living. I just yelp though. nothing fancy.
