Dont make too much of it, theyll sell anybody a new car these days.

Some people can't manage their money and go buy whatever lenders will let them get, then they can't afford luxury items you know, like groceries.

There are also some of them that get a ride to the food bank. Back when my wife and I did foster care we carried a few of the kids biological parents to the food bank and other places sometimes when they had parental visits. Occasionally even without the kids present.

Not really relevant. Maybe their parents bought them a reliable car to get to work at the job they've been laid off from. Maybe they caught a ride with a neighbor to get food for their children. Or maybe they live paycheck to paycheck and being without a job for a month while feeding a bunch of bored kids that eat all day wasn't something they thought could ever happen. Whatever the case, you are judging, and you should pray it doesn't happen to you or your loved ones. People are hurting right now. Be happy you have food in your cabinets and cut these people some slack.

That exactly the feeling I had when I watched it.

I saw that here locally and then the thought crossed my mind, that a lot of those people driving those shiny new cars and trucks may have lost their jobs in the past few weeks. They may really need that food, or they may be taking it to an elderly family member. I'm not naive enough to think that people aren't abusing the system, but there may be more cases of genuine motives than we imagine.

Haven't seen a food bank

Publicity stunt so their congressional representative can have an exhibit when he adds all that pork to bailout round 4. They spent enough in gas waiting in line to feed the family more food than they got. It’s ridiculous and it pisses me off

I would be willing to bet most of them have less than a quarter tank of fuel. Always puzzles me when someone pulls into gas pump in a $50,000.00 car and puts $8.00 worth of gas in it. They can afford a high dollar car but can't afford to fill it up and the tires are usually slicker than an onion peel.

This is exactly what I told a coworker the first day we gave out food at school..

I only had two cars turn down the food baskets as they picked up their children's assignments-Both worked as educators.
