Why in the world are we needing a bailout after only a week of precautionary quarantine measures?
Why should the government send a check to everybody who's driving a $50k truck but has less than $1000 in the bank for savings? (quit living paycheck to paychek, duh)
Why do billion dollar corporations need a bailout after a week?
Why can't we give it another week or two to see how things are going, why rush?
Do we really need a bailout after one week?

Do we really need a bailout after one week? So you're saying the Democrats are right in not voting for it?

Do we really need a bailout after one week? So you're saying the Democrats are right in not voting for it? I wouldn’t vote for it. They’ve fooled the people once again. Now people are arguing over what’s going to be in the package instead of arguing about whether we even need a stimulus package. They’ve flipped the argument and I believe most have taken the bait.

The number of people living paycheck to paycheck is staggering. I know of 2 people right now who went into overdraft on their account already and have only been out of work a week. For Christ sake, save a Damn dollar.

I think Dave Ramsey says the average American is 3 paychecks away from Bankruptcy.
As far as the govt preparing, I think it is just that, preparing. They expect things to get worse and continue into several weeks of quarantine and continued shut down. By starting now, this will allow them to deal with the very things they are having to deal with. Partisanship and politicians being politicians : trying to scam as much money as they possibly can. This means by the time the people "need" the money, they will have worked out all the details on how they will run this scam and and send out the checks.

Supposedly a deal is very near being a done deal this morning. I wonder if Pelosi's baby killing money was left in there. If it is, the bill should be voted down or vetoed when it reaches POTUS desk.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I watched alot of it last night on TV. Some of the R senators were going over the 1119 pages that Pelosi wanted put into this bailout. They are wanting to bail out the postal service, increase minimum wage to $15 an hour, forgive student loans completely 9 months after the virus has subsided, making all 50 states have voter registration on the same day, and some other BS that has absolutely no dang reason to be in a coronavirus bill. From what I gathered, Pelosi didn't like it because she said it was a slush fund (the 500 billion thats in there for businesses). They aren't giving it away. They are offering loans with it to large companies like the airlines, etc. that have been hit hard by this deal.

I almost wish the military would bust up into the Capitol and exterminate, where they stand, every damn democrat so the vote could get done.

Why do billion dollar corporations need a bailout after a week? Because any money they had saved went to stock buybacks. American Airlines is a good example.

Some are trying to use this as a way to get what they want (Pelosi), some are using it for slush funds, some are trying to bail out their buddies companies, some know they need to do something for confidence in them (I believe Pres. Trump to be one of those, he may not want to, but knows he better do something to keep us voting for him - give people money he says), some, ok a lot, don't know what in the heck they are doing, so they are complaining out of one side of their mouth and voting down out of the other side of it.
