What kinda biz do u have? Small retail business. Here's what kills me: I get shut down. However, Walmart remains open. Sure they sell groceries, but they also sell a lot of the same things I do. Are they going to limit customers to essential items only? You know they aren't. Will I be compensated for my downtime? You know the answer to that one too..... We plan on paying the fine or going to jail. Looking at legal options. Do you have a website? Online ordering available? Folks on here like to do business with other folks on here, but you might need to clear it with Skinny before you answer in this thread.

Oh i agree...plus if the virus is gonna be somewhere it's more likely to be in Wal-Mart vs a small store..makes zero sense For sure considering there are zero limits as to the number of people allowed to go in at once. It's a cesspool.

Hell, I had intentions of going into Tractor Supply when I left my PT appt to pick up something that DoA requested me to get, but there appeared to be too many people there for my liking. Guess I am gonna try to order it for delivery from somewhere instead.

Google the word Pandemic. Try constitution, liberty, justice, freedom, etc. They will put my cold dead ass in a body bag before they take any of those words from me! I'm sure that would suit some of y'all just fine, but if this crazy schit continues I'll be dead before it's over, and not from a damn virus. no, no...I would truly lament your passing..but can I have your guns?

Go buy a few bulk items of food from Sams and offer them for sale. Tell them you stock food.
JeCo can suck a phat one. What I was thinking at the same time.

I pray to God if you take this to court youll take a copy of our constitution to court with you and make them tear out the parts they are ignoring right now Google the word Pandemic. Try constitution, liberty, justice, freedom, etc. They will put my cold dead ass in a body bag before they take any of those words from me! I'm sure that would suit some of y'all just fine, but if this crazy schit continues I'll be dead before it's over, and not from a damn virus. I agree with both of these statements, the constitution must not mean much to some people anymore but I still enjoy my freedom. I own a small business that is considered essential but I canāt stand the fact that thousands of people are willing to comply and sit at home just because the state or government ask you to. If people keep showing them that they will kneel down than that is exactly what they will keep trying to enforce. Last time I checked this was still America, the governments are acting un-constitutionally and if you canāt see that you must be blind.

My office is in Jefferson County but I work 90% of the time from my truck or from home. So I don't have to worry about it much. William, I hope things go good. Hang in there.

I agree with outback agin . Can t believe what a craphole this country has become in couple weeks.unfreaking believable!!!!. I sit out here in boonies listen what going on in the big cities an it blows my mind. Common sense has gone plumb out the window on this all the way to the top of our federal government. There will bloodshed if someone try tell me we can t go to work an provide for our familys. I have many family members that fought an died in wars all over the world so we would have our constitutional rights. 378,000 people have this virus in the whole freaking world of a billion people.

Update:
Called the SBA about these loans they have promised for small businesses. They stated explicitly that if we didnāt comply with the Jeff Co Health Dept, we wouldnāt qualify for any of those short term loans. Essentially, the govāt is forcing us to shut down without compensation. To top it all off, the Health Dept Director is leaving the state liquor stores open because they practice social distancing........
Insurance company freaked today when we started a claim. Sure we will end up settling or suing.
Good news is that our landlord, bankers, and suppliers have all agreed to work with us.
Weāve been in business almost 20 years. The company is fine. We will make it through this and will take a ding financially. Itās all about principal at this point. The govāt has gotten out of control. And just for clarity, this is with a Republican President, Republican Senate, and Republican Governor. They are ALL part of the problem at this point.
