Here's another property. There's a high limestone bluff on east side of creek, there's a vertical shaft of a cave approximately in the yellow area. At one time there was another lower outlet but I've never found it. The creek here has some rock walls but no gravel bars, mostly sand bottoms. Any suggestions on where to look here ? Assuming you only have permission on the property that has the Yellow, I would start in what looks to be a panhandle (lower left corner area). If you have permission for more, I would start in the upper right in the Red. The 2nd terrace inside the bend. That would be the #1 spot to me.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I decided I had picked up enough arrowheads as a kid fishing along the TN river......and I am never going to do anything with them. So.... I am pretty much leaving my place undisturbed. I am leaving them for my kids and grand kids to maybe find one day.
If someone just can't stand it I can get you one in about 5 minutes just have to wait till the creek is dry. I just find a hole in the bottom of the creek. Dig it out by hand....Take my trapping sifter and whalla. You'll have one probably first try. No joke I dug a couple holes out and I just quit. I decided I was going to ruin it for somebody.

Have access inside the red, both sides of creek. Still going with my original thoughts but that does open it up to the other side too. 2nd level that is still withing a 100 -200 yards from the creek. If it is wadeable, I'd wade the creek. You'd be surprised what gets washed into it as evidenced by Bamabeagler.

Quite shocked, my daughter and some friends went over to a freshly cleared spot on the west (flat) side of the creek. They found 4 points in fresh erosions. Hope to get pics in a bit Edit: pic added Obviously they found more than was described earlier. This was from 2 locations. Also want to add, my daughter at 18 is the youngest of this group, the rest are 20-21. There's a helluva lot worse they could be into instead of walking a fresh clearcut looking for rocks.

Looks like ya have a great spot. The surface hunting will only last a little while in the clear cut but enjoy it while you can.Not sure whether you are lower east or lower west but if east and you ever get interested in digging PM me.I have couple of sites on my place I will be digging this spring/summer and you would be welcome to see if it is your cup of tea.Its hot, dirty and in most cases you have to move a lot of dirt to find the one your looking for, but there is no better feeling in the world than watching a fine whole point appearing out of the wall of your hole. How do u dig for em?

We're SW. Don't have any idea on the period of what was found. It'll be late summer before we get in the big creek with the rain we're having. There's a smaller creek we can check plus another one nearby.

I mostly use a screen, but a lot of people just shovel dig using a slightly altered sharpened shovel. Most of my early digging was with a shovel because I am in Florida, no rocks other than what you are looking for.If you have much gravel screening is way to go.I am actually in the process of making a portable electric vibrating screen to make my life easier. Rocking a mechanical shaker with bad shoulders gets old.
KBush I could not tell by the pic but it looks like most of the points may be Tallahata Quartz which would make sense where you are.The whole one appears to be Chert and looks like a nice point. My cuz has several thousand acres on the Sepulga and finds points, but its hard to find good quality TQ points. The best I have ever seen came from a guy on Miss/Alabama line creek hunting. He found some fanatastic stuff but if was in water and preserved. The colors were incredible, think glass with purple spots.Depending on where you are and what that creek looks like you may have same.If it is a hard bottom creek with schoals, chutes you could probably find some good stuff in it.

I was trying to figure out what in the heck the hand on the right was holding. took a bit to figure out that was a hole with a croc in the background.
