I'm supposed to go pick this up Tuesday. I'm riding the 440 miles of the Natchez trace in about a month, and then to Colorado later this summer. Ya'll wish me luck. I've wheeled and dealed for months and found this LHT that I worked a partial trade for. I really hope this deal gets done without any hang ups.

Anyway,I needed to tell somebody how excited I am and my family is tired of hearing anything about cycling. If anybody knows how to post a good picture from the link,I would appreciate the assist.

That's awesome.

That rack looks awful thin to tote a deer on it. Also, I'm amazed at how well hidden all the gizmos for the electric drive are. wink

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I know,I've gone plumb freaking crazy. I'm buying this one too for a reduced price and will keep the luggage and a couple parts and sell it. I should wind up with the luggage and some other parts he is throwing in for nearly nothing though when I get done dealing.

My Tuesday will be a road trip with high hopes all works out as it should. I've wasted a couple trips already, but I learned a bit more about how to long range evaluate a bike, and I'm off to the races again Tuesday boys.

Na, I'll use it like a hunting 4WD and bikepack the Bankhead and some of the rougher off road stuff. The Long Haul Trucker is just that, a long distance road rig that can handle any road all around the world. People have gone all around the world several times on these model bikes.

I also lucked into a little red Trek 400 road bike last week for a whopping $20 at a thrift store. It needs tires but I've put about 15 miles on it just playing around. It's a little light weight 700c 25mm wheeled rocket. It has an eliptical crank shaped like a cam on a compound bow and it will just about jump out from under you if you get on it hard.It weighs about 20 lbs compared to my Trek Marlin 5 which weighs over 40. I can jump over the ditch at speed though on the Marlin. A big rock could give you a bad day on the road bike.

My plan is to own a long distance touring van, a good 4WD vehicle and a sports car. I may be nuts but I ain't had this much fun in 30 years.

You had a wreck yet? Not wishing you bad luck, but it's going to happen at some time. My brother had one at the state park in January and dislocated his collar bone. About 10 years ago he hit a tree and tore his rotator cuff completely off his shoulder. Took 2 surgeries to get that one fixed.

Yea,I've had a couple but nothing too bad. I don't jump off banks or get too radical. I do like fast gravel though.
