Not gonna watch b/c it will put me in a sour mood the rest of the day. I've had to talk to GomerJr (8yrs old) about how to handle it because it's only a matter of until he has to deal with it. He is small for his age...will likely always be one of, if not THE, smallest kids in his grade, and he also wears glasses. He's only had to deal with one little shithead so far, but I know there'll be more eventually.
So far, I've taught him, if another kid starts a fight, to close the distance as quickly as possible and shown him how to throw a punch, and assured him I would take care of the teachers/principal in the event he had to defend himself. That's about all you can do.

The pain and suffering in that young man’s eyes absolutely tears my heart out. Hearing him say he wants to kill himself is one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard. Prayers for him and his family and I truly hope he’s able to recover and move forward from such traumatic experiences.

Parents should let the little fellow what a couple episodes of Game Of Thrones and help build up his confidence. But in the meantime, they should go to that school and address the problem directly with the children that are bullying that poor kid and also take it to the parents of those little bastages.

The problem with kids who bully starts at home with the parents.
Not that I necessarily think that bullying is actively promoted at home (although, I am sure there is some of that), but that adults are not as careful as we should be in our words and actions that kids see and overhear.
How many of us have commented on how someone looks or what someone else wears, etc. that would not be considered complimentary? I suspect all if us have and never considered that the young minds around us might actually tell a fellow classmate what they actually think. It is so important to teach that if you cannot say or do something nice then do not say or do anything to kids.
Then, when you add in all of the computer, internet, cellular devices into the mix, it all gets worse (way worse) in the hands of children.
These issues might be particularly fresh for those of us in Covington County who lost a young lady last night due to social media issues.

I actually believe we need to watch it. I've heard folks tell me they don't need to see war footage, either. We need to be reminded of evil so it sharpens our resolve.

I can't help. I was the bully in school.

I saw a report on that today that that kid is actually 18 and he and his mom are playing folks for money. I saw it 3 or 4 different places on the webs. Wow!

He might be 18 now, but there's no way he was 18 in that video. But I wouldn't put it past some sorry bum to do that. * edit * It's on the fake news as legit and celebrities are rallying around the kid, age 9. Take it with a grain.

Horrific violence, nudity, and debauchery of all sorts is the norm on nearly every Netflix series. You don't have to seek it out. And people can't get enough of it. TV is far, far worse than even 10 years ago.
