The very best turkey hunter I ever met wore liberty overalls and a flannel shirt. He toted a 22 Remington pump, and one old lynch box call.
He was my grandaddys brother, my great uncle, and if he told his wife they was having turkey for dinner, she started the fixins.
He would decide he wanted turkey and go kill one, anytime, anywhere, whenever he wanted.

It is probably because all of the new MO brand apparel loses half of its color the first time that you wash it! (g)

Truthfully, I don't get it either. I don't wash it as much as I probably could, but that's generally due to laziness/ time-related/ lack of the need for scent control. But, especially after it warms up even a little bit, that crap is going in the wash any time that I sweat, get it muddy, bloody, etc.

My vest, on the other hand, rarely gets washed. I try to wash it once a year. That is simply because I hate taking everything out then having to get used to where everything is again. I have had the current vest for 10 years and don't plan on switching that up any time soon, either.

I always wear a base layer, even in warmer weather. I wash those regularly.
But I rarely wash my outer layers. It causes fading and ruins waterproofing.
If it doesn't touch my skin I don't wash it.

Greenleaf the last few years. New break-up before that. My only superstition is about a new hate. I’ve killed a lot of birds on my first trip in a new hat, so if I get in a funk I’ll buy one.

I don’t think I’ve ever wore a matching camo outfit in my life.

MO obsession shirts. Two of them. 20 years old. Washed a couple thousand times probably. Looks like the day I bought them. Different pattern pants, doesn’t matter.

It’s already green here, so.......

And, why would you ever spend one cent on anything that fades, for turkey hunting. Never understood that.

I like the new bottomland, just don’t wash the mossy oak stuff or it will be white within 10 washes
