Who on here turn the necks on their cases? and whose turning tool do you use?
But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?

21st century shooting lathe I've got a hornady but it sucks ass. Either the 21st or K&M. The hornady might be fine for skimming but my dasher has a .266 nk and I couldnt get the hornady to cut right, runout was too high so I got the 21st and can cut with one pass and very little runout

Unless you have a rifle with a custom, tight necked chamber, I wouldn't waste the time and effort.

Let me ask a question, if the neck is different thickness from one area to another would this affect how is it resized when you run it through the die?

Let me ask a question, if the neck is different thickness from one area to another would this affect how is it resized when you run it through the die? Yes. If you have a concentricity gauge you can see the effect. If you have cases with uneven thickness, run it into a sizing die without the expander ball. This will push the variations to the inside of the neck, and the gauge will show a more concentric neck. Run the same case back over the expander ball and measure again and the neck will not be concentric. In my experience, you can't fix bad brass.

When I started reloading for my rifles I was mainly concerned with the basics and did not delve into concentricity or neck thickness, now that I have more experience I am wanting to understand how these things affect the accuracy and if perhaps I can gain a little more accuracy by performing these steps.
Thank you

You will get a more uniform neck tension after you turn your necks also
