You can thank some Alabama Sheriff's for that man, they really screwed us on that deal smdh. Funny how that's just went away 🤔 Cause i sure wouldn't put their azzes back in office.....

I had a TS clearance. The salesman mentioned that could be the reason. I'll probably do the VAF and be done with it.

Yeah Walmart and Academy will hold until they get a proceed.

The length of time the permit was good for was not the problem. The actual law states the permit has to renewed at least every 5 years. The problem was some sheriffs were not following the state law requiring them to run a NICS background check prior to issuing or renewing a permit. Their failure to do so allowed convicted felons to et a permit and purchase guns.

The sheriffs will be the first to piss and moan about how the permit is their way to help fight crime when talk of getting rid of the requirement to have one to carry concealed or in your car comes up, but then they turn right around and don't follow the law to issue them.

There are two types of gun enthusiasts ... Those who have been F#CKED by PTG and those who will be!

Have a buddy that owns a gun shop. He said, but does not know for sure, that it seems that many people that get delayed also have a valid TWIC card. He thought it was odd with no rhyme or reason, but MANY of his customers that get delayed say they have a TWIC when asked. He's just putting 2 and 2 together - it may mean nothing at all and just be a coincidence.

Yeah, I can understand that Soalaturkys, with a name like ELMER FUDD, you should get checked often ! Of course you could change to something goofy like Chuck ! grin
