I know that most of you have been keeping up with the circus going on up there. Well their Governor has now declared a state of emergency regarding the 2nd Amendment.

My question is this; at what point does POTUS get involved?

I don't know but I cant believe we are dealing with this in VA. If this doesn't get nipped I am afraid of what will happen in other states. Don't think for a minute that the Dems everywhere arent watching like a hawk to see where they can drive a wedge in the 2nd amendment.

where are you seeing that he has declared a State of Emergency? I didn't see it on Fox News and even checked CNN......I would think either of those would have that as a major headline (for opposite reasons), but if they are reporting it, it's not jumping out at me....

He declared a state of emergency days ago before the rally. Unless he lifted it and declared it again.

I believe the state of emergency was only for yesterday's rally.

It was to not allow firearms on the capital grounds as I understand it.

My point is; how far will this nutbag go before Trump gets involved.

In my opinion it’s a state matter, Nothing Trump should get involved in unless through DOJ or the Courts.

The POTUS can’t intervene. Courts can IF suits are filed.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I didn't think he could "legally" do anything but I'm betting he gets involved on some level.

There was an injunction and appeal filed last week before the rally. Both ruled in favor of the Government.

We can't trust the courts

I have a feeling Trump will carry Virginia this time on the strength of a lot of first time voters.

If you haven't researched Ralph Northam, look at some of the his quotes. Unbelievable

You know it is hard to want "less government" when at the same time you want a federal office reaching into a state issue. I understand why some of you feel like that should be the case, but it is only because it would support your beliefs - what happens when it supports the opposing beliefs?

My belief is that if enough people truly oppose the oppression of 2A there, they will simply pack up and relocate.

The "move to a free state" idea is a losing strategy.

It's time for folks who love Liberty to do things a little differently than we've been doing them. What we've been doing got us to this point.

Yes, moving to a "free state" is a losing strategy. They will simply follow you to that state and bring their anti 2A agenda with them. We see this happening to Texas right now. It has already happened to Florida.

My belief is that Virginia is part of the United States and the Unites States constitution covers all of the U.S.. If a governor wants to violate the constitution then he should be imprisoned and tried for treason.
