Tell me what you think. Good low light scope? How much difference in them and the vx5 or 6?

It will work just fine during Alabama legal shooting hours and even a little afterwards.

Before the law changed I’d say spend the $ on the 5 or 6 but there’s no reason to anymore.

Yup. VX3i will get you to the state legal limit, I would take the extra and toss it in an investment account.

The 2.5-8 VX3i is a great scope

Hell if that is the standard. You can shoot iron sights past the new legal time.

I don’t have any experience with the vx3i. But I have never been a fan of leopard. At least not for what they want for them

Good timing jwalker, I was just thinking this earlier today. How does the VX3-I compare the the VXR? I am in the market for a new scope and I don't think I want to go the Vortex Crossfire/Diamond back route this time. I'm wondering if the VX5HD or a Swaro Z3 would be a waste of money over a VX3I-I or VXR.

Me too at ten yards and I have larger than normal pupils and 2015 vision, anyone else is fooling themselves by thinking irons work at good. Game wardens usually give you till the color green fades out which is about 12 minutes extra

I own two and I've been pleased.
In a world of 34MM tube diameter super deluxe 8-80X72MM target scopes, the modest 2.5-8X36 sure works well on my hunting rifles.

The VX3i compares real good with the VXR in these conditions but the giggles come when you compare that darn Freedom in lowlight to the others, its about as good.

Just bought one in 40 mm today for my model 7. I’ll know soon if I like it

I’m gonna look at Meopta if I get a chance to buy.
I highly recommend the German #4 reticle too.

I own two of the Leupold VX-3i 3.5-10 x 40 mm scopes.

Both are mounted up on lever guns.

I have one on a Marlin 336 .30-30 and one on a Marlin 336 .35 Remington.

They are real nice scopes for the money. thumbup

Leupold VX3 scopes in some variety, including the VX3I, is all I use. I've killed alot of whitetails, an antelope and mule deer(mounted on my pistol), and an elk in the snow with these scopes. They've worked really well for me.

I’ve got 2 of the VX3i 3.5-10x50 w/ Heavy Duplex reticles. Lot of bang for the buck and the bold reticle really pops long past legal shooting light.

Why is this scope $200 cheaper than you can get it anywhere else? They also have the same scope same serial# for $499, only difference I saw was hashes on the outside or the tourette cap.
