My son killed a doe yesterday evening. Just a typical looking grown doe, but when we cleaned it I was amazed at how much fat the deer had on it. I’ve never seen as much fat around the inner loins and on the hind quarters as this one had. I had to peel away handfuls of soft fat before I could even see to cut the inner loins out. A max acorn year plus everybody baiting is gonna be really good for the deer that survive. I personally am going to kill the coons and try to keep feeding until turkey season gets here. Wish we could feed year around, but if you turkey hunt it’d be hard to be legal imo.
