U need to tie it off with cables up high and mobile home anchors

The structure was that high when I got it. There is lot of change in the terrain there and every little bit helps. I can see three directions from that stand for a long ways. Never bothered me getting in and out of it. Aluminum ladder is tied off that runs up to floor underneath house. Once you get on lower floor you good since its surrounded by structure. Access from lower floor through trap door in bottom. no biggie. Replacing roof....different story.

We had what i thought were some pretty high shooting houses in the past........yours may be too high but we always built the roof (as light as possible) on a frame that would fit right inside the top of the shooting house - pulled it up with cables or ropes and then slid it in place - put screws in the frame from inside and were ready to go.

Ill tell you something. I dont mind crawling around in a tree but on top of a roof that high up makes me a little nervous. Getting up there and putting the tin on aint that big a deal but you better have a pretty good plan for getting down.

If you could put some kind of good anchor in the ground, maybe a 6x6 3ft deep, and attatch a barndoor type hinge to the legs, you could stand it up with a winch or probably a long chain and truck. You just have to make the two legs touching the ground be still somehow. Then when you get it up anchor it down good.

Would it be possible to build a roof out of lightweight aluminum rafters and tin and use a rope to hoist it up and secure it from the inside?

I would LOVE to have that stand; appears to be well secured with the telephone poles thus safe in my eye. The first stand, not so secured!

I'd stand it up and build shooting house on 2nd or 3rd set of supports lol. Maybe have a death wish sitting on top of there.

This is the only way to do it if you ask me. Other than that, find somebody with some beach balls and buy the materials and see how much he'll do it for.

I’ve been 60’ up in a climber on a big pine and was fine unless it whipped with the wind. But that would have me puckered up.

If there's a good road access, I would think about pre-fabricating my roof on the ground. Then hire a lightweight Derrick or small crane to hoist it up. Make all the connections from inside the stand. Nobody has to get on top of it without a safety line. You "could" do it with a tall man lift, but it'll cost just as much and be more labor intensive.
I'd climb that sucker any day and twice on Sunday. That's a good looking stand.

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I have a few more. I will take bids on them if someone wants to bring their avalanche and lawn more trailer for pickup.

The height wouldn’t bother me at all. The shaky ladder on the way up would though. I’ll climb a tree, or rigid mounted ladder as high as it’ll go but 5’ up a ladder that shakes or bows and I’m out lol.

I’m glad I read through the replies before I typed this exact same reply
