Since I am tagged out, I am focused on getting a couple of kids on some mature bucks and keep the pressure on the hogs. I was able to catch & kill the vast majority of our resident hogs by early deer season. But, we have had a few migrants show up lately that I am after.

Got one big ol sucker I’m trying to get with a bow, and I’m tired of walking up to the brutal area where he is. I’m getting too old to climb mountains chasing these things. If it doesn’t happen this coming week, I’m done. Time to catch crappie.

I’d love to:
* Kill a rack buck.
* Kill one with a bow.
* Check out the 3-4 spots I hadn’t looked at yet.

Trade for at least 2 more rifles didn't make the list?

I'd love to kill my first racked buck ever, but I'd be happy with just going hunting one or two times. Been busy getting our house ready and moving, don't really see an end yet so not sure I'll get to go anymore this season.

Gotta get my three bucks to tag out so I don't leave one empty. If I don't get all three, it hasn't been a full season experience.

Hopefully make it back up to Butler County and hunt a bit more before the end of the season. I only got to hunt the first ten days of the season.

My goal was to kill a mature buck in bama this year. That hasnt happened yet. I've not killed a buck with a rifle in alabama in a long time. I'm about burnt out and am ready to swap over and catch some crappys

I think I’m done trading rifles. This is a plain Jane lil Ruger American .243, except for the camo paint, but I like the way it shoots. I typically set up for 50 to 75 yard shots. I figure it’ll do just fine for me.

Likewise, it’s only her second year hunting and she’s been very disciplined on the trigger she’s seen bucks but none she just wanted to shoot.

#1- Get my Lions Club Charity Deer hunt guest a buck this weekend
#2- see my 75 year old Dad get a nice buck
#3- see a deer that I would be interested in shooting ( no luck so far seeing anything close on cameras or from stand)
