Soooo what’s the 69 on that scope?? Just curious ? Also, congrats. I had a super solid black yote jump my string years ago and always wish I’d had gotten him.

I’ve got a couple black ones on camera at my place. I wish I had a little time to dedicate to their demise

Deer are far less freaked out by gun shots than the smell of a human. They don’t really pay shots a whole lot of attention. Half the deer will run out of the field or immediate area, and about half pay it no mind at all. Where it makes a difference is revealing or giving up your presence or location after a shot. Make your shot and sit still. Keep hunting. Don’t climb down or out of your blind or make your way to your kill. Just sit. Amazing what you’ll learn about deer by staying put and not immediately going to whatever you shot or getting down to track with deer around.

Someof you may remember a few years ago I shot a coyote at about 6:45 am. By 7:00 I shot a doe standing over the coyote trying to figure out why he was napping. By 7:30 I smoked a nice mature heavy antlered buck. I posted the pic of them all three laying together. About as good a hunt as one can ask for.

And to the OP, congrats!! I tanned a huge black male coyote a few years ago. One of the coolest pelts I have.

Thats is cool to have all 3 in a pic...we got several round here I let someone on here hunt em this summer and they killed 10 I've killed 3 this year..but I was like canvasback couple years ago n let em go not trying to ruin a hunt...big mistake on my part

I shot a black one like that around 94-95. Chambers County, Oak Bowery to be specific.

It's a little uncanny how much that black yote resembles my German shepherd.

Nice dogs. Congrats
