So looking at possibly changing vehicles for my wife. With three boys 5 and under we want something with a little more room. So what is the good and bad of these. I will definitely be looking at a used one. Thinking about a 2014 or so. 75,000 to 100000 mile range. Thanks

Had a 2010. Great for kids. Low profile and auto sliding rear doors. Get entertainment pkg if can.

We have a 2011 and its been a trooper of a vehicle. I haul four kids plus the boss all the time. Its a great grocery getter. Can also haul about 1500lbs of gear with it. Thinking about getting a new one. The Toyota Sienna is also great, I have a friend who has one. The only real difference between the two is the spare tire and whatever entertainment package you get. The Toyota does not have a spare tire, not even a doughnut, it has run-flat tires which are expensive to replace. The only real problem I have had with mine is that the air conditioner compressor sits low and I cracked mine when I hit a nasty pot-hole. Aldeer buddy in Greenville fixed it for me as cheap as he could.

I have had more than one Honda, with a v6 engine. They are good vehicles, but IMO, that is too much horsepower to sit sideways in the Pilot, Odyssey, and Ridgeline. We had problems with motor supports on everyone of them. They are expensive and hard to replace. That is my experience with them. I owned Honda vehicles from 2005-2006 years of manufacture. The best vehicle that I have ever owned, was a Honda CRV. The 4 cylinder engine, with a chain and not a belt, was a great vehicle. I bought Toyota last time. It is hard to beat a lifetime drive-train warranty, on the Toyota vehicles.

Just do some research on Edmonds, etc, and you’ll be good. Great vehicles. I’ve had 2 Kia Sedonas since 06 and they’ve been great also. They changed body styles in 14. Just sold my 06 last year locally and it’s still going. Still have a 14.

Expect some interior dash lights to burn out. Expect interior foggy haze on windshield interior. Expect issues with rollers on automatic doors. Expect to do brake work more than you expect. Never had transmission problems but know some who did.
We've had 2 Odyssey and 1 Sienna vans over the years. Great vehicles overall but ain't bulletproof.

They are really good vehicles for a family and for asphalt driving. I though, have taken mine down many dirt roads and so long as I stay away from serious truck stuff haven't had a problem. If I am driving only on paved for the day I take the van. My truck usually has about 1000lbs of gear in it and the mileage on the van is much better.
