He's respected as an innovator and not a wet blanket, staid, straight-collar pablum-spewer like other coaches. He completely revitalized and elevated his last two teams. Thirteen of his players or assistants have become college or NFL head coaches and 10 still are coaching.

All that may be "Oh, no championships!" and he may be the best MSU can get. They're not going to pay $8 million a year for someone. They're just not. But I'll guarantee you MSU will be excited, players will want to play for him, he knows he needs a defense and will get them, and I'll bet MSU if not in 2020 at least in 2021 will be greatly improved.

Leach will be interesting for about 2 years.......then he'll be figured out and go 5-7.

I'm not the biggest fan of Leach, but he sure is entertaining.

Saban is only entertaining when he loses his cool, otherwise he is about as informative as Bill Belicheck. I would rather watch paint dry than watch a Gus Malzahn press conference.

He's a lawyer and an obviously very smart man who's never played football in his life. It's obvious that he's in this whole thing as a business opportunity. He would never make $20 million over 4 years as a lawyer. He's 58.
