Nope. A portable concrete mixer. Even shorter than a jetski and you can't see the dang thing until its jack knifed.

I'll be honest, I can't drive a stick. My parents have never owned manuals while I was learning to drive, and my grandparents live super far away so I never learned from them. Just never had an opportunity to. Would love to learn, though. Most embarrassing part to me is that my wife knows how and does it quite well. rofl

I can back a trailer.

I learned to drive in a 72 dodge pickup with a granny gear 4spd and a nova with 3 spd on column . i graduated to driving dads freightliner with 13 spd all before i had a learners permit. I can back a trailer, the longer the better . the little 4x8 utility trailers give me the worst problems

Yep, have a 72 Toyota FJ40 with a 5spd, and a 18' SeaArk that I tow with a 99 Ford F250 SC LWB 4x4. That thing is a b*tch to back up.

I was thinking about this very thing the other day. My boy just turned 8 and I reminisced about how at his age I was driving my grandpas farm truck on Sunday after church while he sat in the passenger seat spitting red man out the window while he laughed at my dad hanging on for dear life in the back while pitching hay. Most days I was the one pitching hay but on Sunday’s after church we always swapped roles. I’m doing my best to give my boy the same memories. The times are changing but I’m keeping him in the woods and trying to give him what I can.

Quoted for truth.

We had an old 1978 (Wasn't old at the time because it was 1978) Ford F250 and I was working for some contractors that were working for my dad's construction company. I was a block mason's helper. Quite possibly the chittiest job I have ever had. It was a lot of raw hands, sore shoulders, and lots of hard work and then lots of more hard work. Anyway we needed to back a concrete mixer down a muddy dirt unfinished driveway and of course being all full of spit and vinegar I volunteered, because, "I can back a trailer no problem!" Well after about 10 tries and the two block masons laughing, I finally got it. But I learned my lesson on short trailers.

Yep. My first truck had 3 on the tree. Was 12 when I learned to back a livestock trailer to the loading chute. Seemed like it took me 10 acres of ground to get it done but I caught on pretty fast.

First vehicle I ever driven was a stick. My dad made me drive through downtown Selma and over the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Red light to red light and then that damn bridge.

Sometimes, I look like a black snake backing a boat trailer down the ramp. Sometimes it’s smooth as a pro.
I don’t jackknife though, if I’ll bear down and think about it.
The worst is when someone else asks you to back their rig down a long, unfamiliar ramp like the one at Guntersville Dam.

Yes and yes. Almost isn’t a day of the week I’m not backing a trailer either loaded with my mowers in the summer or my ranger during hunting season. I’ve had several vehicles over the years that were a stick.

You ain’t experienced damn difficult until you’ve had to back a deuce and half with a 250kw generator hitched on back.
