Do you bushhogg before or after you throw the seed? Doesn’t matter , it’s still gonna be the best food plot ever .

funny thing is I actually kind of did this last fall. My cousin decided he would mow down my cow peas and soybeans when he mowed the clover fields. In his defense, there was a lot of grass in them. Anyway, I wasn't happy, but didn't have time to rework the fields. So....I simply broadcast over the top with wheat (cheap), turnips, and some clover. Crazy thing is it turned out pretty good.
I know there is some stink around this subject that I don't know...God is supposed to like it or something.....So much like my situation maybe it should be rebranded as got mowed... Pray and throw. (or throw and pray) Ain't hard to mow grass and throw seed. No magic involved, but you can pray if you want.

Mother Nature has never used a set of discs. It’s possible to get by without it but conditions have to be right and you have to put out a LOT Alf seed. Not necessarily I usually put 50-70# per half acre field and it works pretty good.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I been doing this for a few years now
Same seed rate
I do grains and brassicas
Plots are always full and grow just fine. In fact they probably do better. Saves me several hours on a tractor.
I’m not sure why folks don’t do it more.
