If this has been covered in depth please direct me to the thread. I think I’d like to go to a single pin site. I like the idea of the single pin set with double fibers on the Spot Hogg. I have never used a single pin. Let’s hear the ALDeer! Opinions, goods, bads, things you discovered after shooting one for awhile? Please mention the brand so I can take note on the pros and cons for them. Thanks
Don't blame me for your bad decision-

Single pin for years for me and nothing fancy. I zero at roughly 25 and I’m good to about 30. I kinda use the Maximum Point .Blank Range like riflemen. But some of the other guys on here are the real killas. I’m a hobbyist.

I've shot a 3 pin ever since I started, until about 3 years ago when I switched to a HHA single pin. I keep mine set at 30 yds. I'm good 0-30, after that requires an adjustment or holdover. I much prefer a 3 pin sight to the single pin. I'll be switching back before next season.

I use a single pin double fiber Hogg Father and a single pin HHA Kingpin. Been using a single pin sight for 13 to 14 years now and have zero complaints. Biggest fear everyone has is having it set at a certain yardage and the deer moves. That’s the advantage of the double fiber. There’s 20 yards difference between them. So if I have it set for 20 and the deer moves to 40, I use the lower fiber. If it moves to 30, you gap shoot the fibers. With practice, you can very easily use the 20 to kill one at 40. The best thing to do is find out what your maximum point blank range is and leave it set on that. Maximum point blank range is what yardage you can hold in the center of the kill zone and remain in it. N2TRKYS is 30 yards. It’s different for everyone because of bow speed and peep height. I don’t ever plan on going back to a regular pin sight. Only hiccup I’ve ever had was misdialing my sight once on a doe. She was 28 yards and I dialed 38. I hit her through the backstrap.

Thanks guys. I wanna put my eyes on the Spot Hoggs. I like what I’ve seen and read. I like the double fiber option.

I switched to a single pin 11 years ago and see me ever changing back to a multi pin. Have killed quite a few deer with it set at a distance and deer be further or. Loser and just adjust my hold according and drill them. For some reason with multi pin sights I had a bad happen of shooting the wrong pin in the heat of the moment and missing. It eliminates that problem for me

I too have used the wrong pin. That will ruin your day for sure. I’m tired of the clutter of all the pins as well.

If you've used the wrong pin, there's a good chance you will put your sight on a distance and forget until your arrow goes 3ft over ones head. My buddy shot about 3ft over a target one day and was looking around like wtf lol
