Just wanted to see what kind of ideas ya'll might have for a fundraiser for the granddaughters softball team. Thinking about some type of raffle. We're open to suggestions. Thanks

While not politically correct, gun raffles always sell a ton of tickets.

A lot of the teams around here sell raffle tickets for Yeti Roadies. That kind of opens up more potential ticket buyers than if you offered a gun.

Put one of these in a raffle, $10 a ticket. You sell 60 tickets you've made your money back,

Most of those folks that say they are going to help sell raffle tickets won't even try to sell them. We tried selling tickets on a Browning rifle several years ago and barely broke even, if I had not had a friend that bought $300 worth we would have lost money.

That's what worries me about a high ticket item. Thought about a $500 gift card to Birmingham Pistol Warehouse. I like the cooler idea and the Kimber one.

Raffle off a: crossbow or a muzzleloader

The best thing would be if someone had a farm to hunt and you could raffle off a 2 blinds 2 day hunt on the farm (2 does / 2 bucks). Set up a 1 day hunting lease for the property with insurance, etc.

Family Hunt Raffle:

You a bidding to hunt ______ farm for 2 days (Set the dates - Sat & Sunday). There will be 2 hunting blinds/box stands set up. Each blind/stand can accommodate 2 adults. The winner of the raffle will be allowed to kill 4 deer in total (either sex). All Alabama state hunting regulations must be adhered to during the hunt and harvest.

Additionally 2 spotted fawns may be harvested.

Seriously: If you would also offer to supply supervision & a rifle for anyone unfamiliar with hunting may help sell more tickets. If they are unfamiliar with hunting make them meet the Sat prior for shooting practice.

Split the pot raffle. Sell a stretch for $10. A stretch is however long someone’s wing span is. Sell individual tickets for a dollar. Only investment would be the raffle tickets themselves. We have a split the pot once a month at my Mardi Gras organization meeting and someone usually walks away with a Benjamin or 2.

Depends on the live weight but that's potentially a great deal.

Having a raffle for a weekend of hunting on some prime land that somebody would donate the stands for a couple of days, would be ideal. That way you wouldn't have to recoup the price of a rifle, etc, before you make a profit.

What would ya'll charge per ticket? Do a limited amount of tickets?
We're working on trying to secure a piece of property towards Livingston
It would happen quick if we can put it together.
