Shooting a 140 NAB out of 7x57. This gun is lethal. Shot the buck at 4:15. Deer went down we started the high fives. Deer was in my blind spot in right corner of condo. Son says oh crap dad he’s getting up. Before I could reload the deer was gone. No blood no hair at impact sight. I waited 20 mins got off in big hardwood bottom followed every trail and branch for a big 100+ yd loop no signs of dead deer nor struggle. Even went back in with more eyes. Zero sign no wounded deer jumped either time I slipped in the woods.

I hate to hear that. I did that myself 2 years ago. Deer just magically jumped up and ran off after laying there. 2 months later it appeared back on camera with no visible wounds. I have no idea where I hit it to cause that type behavior. Called a back slap young man just enough to stun em for a min or 2 then they gone
