my carrier growing up was my PawPaw ... i miss those days terribly now!

There are a lot of good folks in most jobs and then a few knot heads who mess things up for everybody. Wish there were still local postal inspectors but as B.G.D. will find out with so many cut back and changes they are now only in the largest offices with huge areas to cover.

I also have good carrier’s, probably will be passing out some modest gifts for Christmas. Everyone likes a gift. I definitely will pass a $20.00 bill to both the garbage men. These guys are great and very under appreciated.

Our carrier sucks.....we've had them refuse to leave our mail because our car was parked on the street............ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY FROM THE MAILBOX...claiming it was in the way. Also had them say they couldn't get the mail truck to the mailbox because "grass clippings were obstructing access to the mailbox" (keep in mind, this was not even a "pile" of grass clippings, but just where I'd edged our curb an hour earlier and hadn't gotten to blowing the clippings away yet.)

Never underestimate how hard lazy people will work to avoid doing their job, even when the job itself would've taken less effort.

The link below is what I went by after I got my note from the Post Office...

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Had a buddy a few years back come home and the 3 AR uppers he had ordered instead of taking them to the house they left them sticking way out of his mailbox. Its a wonder no one stopped and got the packages.

Ours kept leaving dirty notes because we were parked too close to the box. She next left a diagram from the USPS showing you could not be closer than 30 feet. I went and bought flags and measured off 31 feet either side of mailbox and planted them. Guess she didn’t like that she next left a letter saying it was bring set for mediation or some crap and we would hear back. That’s been a year ago and not heard a word else

I met my carrier out at the road and got her to show me how high SHE wanted the box set and I set it there. I've got a good carrier. Now the West Blocton PO is a different story. My brother sent me a package, got it back no such addy. Sent it again , same thing. He had the correct addy. I had to go to the PO and yell at folks , never happened again.

I went through the whole mailbox not the right height thing.
The note had lil boxes but nothing much was checked. They certainly didn’t fill out the date I needed to have it fixed by. They didn’t do anything they were supposed to do on the little note but cut my mail off for a week. I was so mad I could have chewed nails.
