First “trail camera” I ever bought wasn’t a camera. It had a little cable that tripped and recorded the time the animal came by.
BA tree pine scent was the bomb for bow hunting (straight up turpentine).
Some vanilla scent from somebody I swear I can’t remember. Fitzgerald
Oiling my shotgun with WD40
Vinyl orange hunting hats
Heavy canvas hunting jackets that were cold as Hell and cold rubber boots (God I use to freeze).
Old aluminum loc ons with the cloth sling style seats. I’ve killed many deer out of them...
My first mossberg 3.5” pump back in 88 maybe. Thought I was big time

When I was much younger the train brought our mail to a rural post office in our small Pike County community. Beside the tracks there was a metal pole that had a hanger that the mail sack was hung from, the mail car on the train had a arm that would reach out and get the mail bag. Back then the circus trains would come thru about once a year. One day one of the elephants reached its trunk out and grabbed the mail sack and carried it about a mile down the tracks before dropping it. Highlight of the year in our community.

SanAnn gas stations and the SanAnn stamps they gave. Any of y'all know how that name came about?
Raleigh cigarettes and same coupons
Prince Albert tobacco
Prize Candy

Buzz gas stations .... the one at Hwy 69 and Union Grove Road was a TRUE Buzz Station when Peanut ran it. You could buy gas, oil and the regular gas station fare as well as bootleg beer, liquor and pot. If business was slow Peanut would roll one up and burn it with you laugh

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

That is some memories right there. And yes I wore my collar straight up with a comb in the back pocket.

All this while wearing parachute pants and members only jacket. Then came the Girbaud and Z caverichi jeans.

That was a combination of Peck Scott's daughter's names. He also had a son named Kress. That boy was wilder than a buck. Kept a few car dealers in business though. Momma used to get the SanAnn stamps.

Buzz Stations... There was one of them on 431 at Rockledge/Carlisle. (Between Attalla and Boaz) The name seemed to truly fit. It was a big hangout for several years. We could buy beer there when I was 16. By then it was a Parade station though.

Yep, Sandra and Ann were the daughters names. And lots of good times at the Buzz Station laugh
