I got some vortex db and like them, I did pick up a pair of Nikon's this year that was clearanced at Walmart for like $30, can't remember which brand they are. Personally I think the Nikon glass is a little better. I can't stand how lens covers fall off the Binos and don't book to the strap on the Nikon's.

I love my Vortex Diamondback bino’s

As long as Vortex is made (scopes and bino’s), I’ll never buy anything else. IMO, Vortex blows away all of the competition in their similar price range

I’m personally not a Vortex fan. I put a diamondback on my sons rifle due to the bulletproof warranty. Got to Bullet and Barrel to sight it in and you could watch the crosshairs move after each shot. Surprising to me the two range masters had seen the problem before with Vortex scopes and actually don’t carry them in their store because of it. I immediately returned it to Cabelas, bought a Leupold and asked for forgiveness.

I’ve got plenty of buddies who live by Vortex I just happened to have a bad experience with them and will never go back. Now that Nikon is out of the sporting optics business it’s either Sig Sauer, Leupold or Zeiss for me.

I’ve got some 10x50 Vortex Vipers hd bino’s that I’ve had for a few years now and have no problems with them.

You can pick up the leupold bx-2 Acadia for $179 right now. That would be my choice.

I bought a pair of the Diamondback 12x50

Carried them to Nebraska

Had a Zeiss man and a Leica man in the truck

They were both impressed. I was to

Judging deer at 600-800 yards was no problem. Saved me from taking the spotting scope to the blind this year

I have a viper scope on my Nebraska rifle. Only scope I own of theirs. Love it also

Gotta find something else since Nikon is going out

I often see where people buy because of the great warranty. I just don't get it. If something is such a POS that it has to be offered with a great warranty to sell it It's still just a POS. Is that warranty going to help when it's middle of the season and you had to ship your one and only scope back because it crapped out? Or you only discovered the problem after it cost you an opportunity? Hell no.

Buy once, cry once.

The average Joe does not even realize that Vortex does not make their own optics. There is no Vortex factory or production facility. Vortex is a company that has third party optic manufacturing facilities to build their scopes for them and put the Vortex trade name on them.

They sell their optics on their stellar warranty plan/service.

I know lots of folks use them and like them. I am not among that group. I've owned a small sampling of their product but never will again. Was not impressed with the functionality or the quality.

I'll save my money until I have enough to buy better.
