I used to hunt them a lot when I lived in the Midwest. The way the wind blows up there, you better get them as they are getting up. If they stretch those wings in that wind, they gone! Good think is though thy will only fly a few hundred yards and set back down.

Yes. And they were mighty fine. But they were from FL and stayed up north during pheasant season. It was called prairie chicken. Outside of Mitchell SD. No alcohol allowed inside and they used $2 bills.
