I did a government white-paper that had an entire chapter on the flash floods that happen in the hill valleys of north Alabama and how the engineers of the CCC and earlier shaped the terrain in certain places to keep it from happening. The Estill Fork area has never been engineered to prevent what you see there. Thats impressive.

I pulled this Toyota out in turkey season on Skyline If he had went 3ft more to the right he would have went into a 20 ft deep sink and quite possibly drown. I had the valley to myself but this feller seen where I crossed before daylight and thought he would try.

It’s always good to know where them creek crossings are, especially in the dark, still waters run deep

My bil is the one that gave him the ride. I think we had 5 people come to the house yesterday. My wife talked to him and all she could say was “bless him”. Musta come a good rain up in 10erc!

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

It did. I drove thru some of it and it rained a LOT at camp.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
