paracord with a small carabiner on the end.

I use paracord too. Mine is 25' long so I can gauge how how to climb. I marked 20' on it too.

I cut mine at 30' and usually pull my bow up off the ground 5 or so feet before I get through climbing grin

Coosa after 15' your sight window gets smaller the higher you climb. I prefer 15-20'.

Huntin' Hoist. Used it for 10 years or so now and has never let me down. Whole lot better than winding and unwinding 25 ft of paracord around my climber. Clips onto your belt or harness.

Gotta buddy that’s been using a 50’ mooring rope to pull up his crossbow This season but he’s Ordered a 75’ for his 6.5 Creedmoor since he’s got to get a little higher in the hilly terrain to make the 1000 yard shot to the feeder.

I use a small diameter nylon rope. I don't like having anything on my rope to scratch and/or mar my weapon up.

I've got this little doo-dad, I don't know what it's called, but it is a nylon strap that has a spindle and a handle on it, you twist the handle to wind it up on the spool. It's a little plastic thing with a clip on the end. I actually got it in a stocking as a Christmas gift from my dad when I was about 13. I wouldn't go in the woods without it.

X2. I don’t know who makes it but I have had mine for at least 13 years. I went on a hunting trip in Illinois when I was around 14 years old and Michael Waddell was packing up to leave as we were getting there and he gave it to me.

This close thread .
Cost 30 bucks worth twice that. It stays clipped on my safety harness 24-7 .no fumbling with cords or rope , and makes me wear my harness everytime .
