But I haven't heard if they had any policy on Tua's future earnings. I certainly hope so, because he lost $50 million on Saturday in Starkville. I'm sorry we hurt your quarterback, that had no business even being in the game at that point, during the practice session.

It's stupid to criticize a coach for still having starters in the game in the first half. It's about reps. Not necessarily reps for Tua, but reps for the rest of the office with Tua. Every injury he's had has been a freak thing that could just as likely happen on the first play of the game. People keep looking for someone to blame..........but sometimes "Chit happens".

I can't blame anyone for him being in the game. No other team in the country is pulling starters in the first half, especially teams on the cusp of playoff contention.

I don't think the school can purchase such policy for an individual player. That would constitute an extra benefit not available to the student body as a whole. His parents could certainly purchase a policy and I hope they have.

I'm not being stupid and criticizing the coach for him still being in for second quarter...I'm being stupid and saying he shouldn't have been playing against us, period...I assure you we posed no threat of winning, regardless. he should have been taking the day to heal for your last couple of games to get into playoff contention, not "practicing 2 minute drill" on us. it would've served the 'bama national run much better. I couldn't care less, just sorry we (needlessly) hurt your A1 quarterback

Straight from the NCAA's website:
"NCAA bylaws require that student-athletes be covered by an insurance policy for athletically related injuries with coverage limits of at least $90,000 – at which point the NCAA catastrophic injury insurance program provides coverage.
The catastrophic injury policy provides up to $20 million in lifetime benefits – medical expenses, monthly disability cash payments, funds to modify homes to accommodate wheelchairs, etc. – to student-athletes who become totally disabled while practicing or playing. However, athletes do not have to be permanently disabled to receive benefits from the policy; they simply need to meet the $90,000 deductible in the wake of any injury to become eligible. In those instances, the initial $90,000 would have been covered by a personal policy, one provided by the student-athlete’s school or the NCAA’s participant accident program, which covers costs for any injuries suffered during championship events."
