I would tell him he is screwing up the hunting for everyone else and the other members would appreciate if he stayed out of the woods if not hunting

How do explain those of us that had a awesome night of raw oysters and beer, pooped on the way to the stand, and kill big bucks so close we have to wait for them to walk off a little to escape muzzle blast ?

“Screwing up hunting”, my butt. Let the guy have his fun.

I would just outhunt him. He sounds like a pretty dumb guy, it shouldn't be that hard. theres always things we can't control making it hard. wind, rain, dogs, poachers.

What would the rule be? "No walking in the woods"?

If he ain’t shooting at them, I’d say he’s doing you a favor. Every time he jumps one out of the precious sanctuary and doesn’t shoot at it, the deer learn not to run away. We just know what works for us.

No walking in the woods unless you got a rifle cocked, locked, and ready to rock.

I've had one like him in every club I have been in. They have cameras everywhere and checks them between hunts in the middle of the day and only signs out for the afternoon where he didn't go. It take a 1000 rounds of ammo to sight in their rifle during bow season after they change the scope 4 or 5 times because it's always the scope or gun that's the problem. If they bow hunt they only practice at 60 yards because they like to show off but can't double lung a doe at 15 yards. They wound more deer than everyone in the club combined so they spend more time walking around looking for the big buck the shot last week and never found. They put out bait and act like its ok because they weren't going to hunt that area until it was gone but they didn't tell any of the other members. If they show up during the week and no one is there they don't sign out. They are nice guys and when you talk with them they act like they understand but they just keep doing the same thing.

Yep. Plus he might be able to help you with where the biggins are since he spends that much time in the woods. So I wouldn’t make him a club enemy.

I can’t stand hunting with peckerheads like that. Always stomping around looking for “sign” and can’t figure out why they never see chit.

We put the last two out that we had problems with but they were pecker heads all the time . This guy is a good guy he just does dumb stuff . I like him I got more reason not to like him than anyone else . The first year he's in the club I'm getting a deer out with help of another member and he calls and says he's on the way to help . We are just about to truck when he gets there and pulls all the way to us and blocks me where I can't turn my truck around and back up to deer. He says I'll move my truck ,I say watch out my truck is back there,it's new to me at the time. Sure enough he starts backing out and my truck is off to the side on the outside of a curve in the road. Well you know what he did me and they guy helping just look at each other , he took out the bumper and right rear quarter panel.with that being said m trying to be as nice as I can to him and not raise to much of a fuse but I'm about to start. If he keeps on this path after rifle starts I'll probably get real ILL.

is there a rule in writing that says you can not just go walking in the woods? if not then there is nothing you can do about it until a rule is established and voted on by the board or members which ever you have. he has paid his dues to access the land just like everyone else and he as the right to use it as long as he is not breaking club, timber company rules
