We've got a guy in the club ,a nice guy but. He has no sense about him when it comes to going in and out of the woods. He works a job where he has alot of vacation and works 3 on 2 off shifts ,so he has a lot of free time.
He has been on vacation for a month and has been at the club for almost the whole time. Not hunting ,he has only hunted twice that I know of .
He stays in the woods walking and filling and adding new feeders.he just text me a 4 o'clock right in front of one of my road stands . Showing me a big buck track.
How do you tell an other wise nice guy to calm down and stop walking all over the woods right before season starts.
Also he's the same guy that almost got the club shut down last year for having corn everywhere and in obvious places when it wasn't legal.

Find another club, buy your own land, or just ignore it. I doubt you'll change his mind. In fact, I know you won't.

We have rules that address this issue. Part of the rule is all members are required to go through our scent control chamber before going out.

Yeah it's aggrevating and a pita but I highly doubt it will affect your hunting.ive had that knucklehead in every club Ive been in at some point.pretty much every year there's that jackazz putting pressure on deer.ive learned to just laugh and tell him to stir up the deer and I'll be over to shoot em all here soon and that's usually what happens anyway

How much land is there? A good option would be to hunt where he's not. If he's running deer off they are going somewhere.

Otherwise, just tell him.

I'm lucky enough to of hand selected the guys that hunt our Land. We are all like minded when it comes to things hunting club related.

Yup, folks that wait till bow season to scout. And I’m not talking about hanging some stands and checking some areas out, I’m talking walking every square inch of the property. I’m all for someone putting the boot in, it’s just one of those things.

If this doesn’t work or is not an option tell him to stay the phuck out of the woods. Explain to him what he is doing and how it can effect deer movement. However.... I’d be willing to bet he knows exactly what he’s doing. Has he ever texted you showing pics by his stand?

We let that one person in our club. He traipses through the woods stirring up the deer. We just hunt where he don't go. We just know what works for us.

I wouldn’t let him in the club or this will be his last.. I understand scouting and all, but just flat out walking all over the place would tick me off!! Good luck with it and hope you figure it out...
