Hurts situation says alot about collegiate sports. He's a class act. And he'd still be at Bama if he wasn't screwed over and judged on one bad game. But he's gone and now the next man up is up. Enjoy that one.

Dadgumit!!!! I went to bed when they were down by 3 touchdowns. The way I saw it, Hurts WAS the offense in the first half. Oklahoma has ZERO running game other than Hurts. They also have a defense that looks as if a democratic president were coaching it. It's weak, at best.

I understand what you are saying Dan and I hated to see Hurts leave and I was a fan of his from the start. It’s like Bama changed it’s entire offensive philosophy with Tua as starting quarterback. And there’s a reason for that. Not only having one of the best passing quarterbacks in the nation but the best three wide receivers as well. The running game would have been a bigger weapon this season if the young highly touted freshman hadn’t of gotten hurt in summer camp. He’s going to be something special in the future.

But with Tua being the starter this season and the defense giving up big plays constantly and the inability to get off the field on third down Bama wouldn’t be as dominant on offense I don’t think with Hurts as the starter this season. But then again with Tua being injury prone Hurts could’ve won the starting job back. Plus as a Bama fan I would have loved like last season having those two as your quarterback’s.

Having said all of this either one of the two would have eventually left Bama due to lack of playing time. Both are starters at the D1 level obviously. Selfishly I wish right now Hurts was still wearing the Crimson of Bama and not OU. But I’m happy for him and what he is accomplishing there.

So does Jalen still get invite to NYC in December? Does Tua?

Jalen Should be invited to NYC. Tua is a tough call, he obviously wouldn't have a chance to win and will have missed 1/3 of the season.... 1/3 of stats and etc. Tua is talented enough to get invited, win or etc.. but If he gets invited it will be more of a "pity" invite or somewhat of a hommage to his career.

It would be neat to see Jalen and Tua at the Heisman ceremony together. Even though Burrow is pretty well the shoe in, so far.

For the Heck of it, I looked up Jalens stats to far.. He'll have over 3k passing and over 1k rushing by the end of the season and is currently responsible for more points that anyone else in the country. Jalen has a real chance at the award, if you look strictly at numbers. If UGA makes Burrow look like a normal QB and Hurts goes OFF in his championship game it could get pretty interesting.

Probably won't ever happen but I'd much rather see Jalen win the Heisman than Burrow.

I quit watching the game becaose olkahoma was sucking it up. I wish I had kept it on and seen the comeback.
