Just got home from WinnDixie and saw they had bone-in ribeye (or rib roast if you want it whole) for $4.99/lbs. Also had T-Bone for $3.99/lbs. Stocked up my freezer and these Ribeyes look great. No, they're not prime they're only choice but for the price it's hard to beat. Ribeye price is good through Wednesday and T-Bone pricing ends today. Just thought I'd share. I'm in Opelika so don't know if other stores are doing this, too.

When I was at Auburn, lo many years ago, I'd buy meat at WinnDixie. Always thought it was a better price than Kroger. I liked Kroger's vegetables and fruit better, though.

WD has pretty decent meat and prices when you catch it on sale. that is the key though. I when go there to find something to grill, usually I don't know what it is that I'm going to get until I get there and see what is on sale that week.

The things to watch is Pot roast and baby backs. Winn Dixie often has them 2 for 1.

If you only buy the sale items you'll be alright. When I was in the grocery business I would price check them and they were always higher on regular everyday items.

Weve got a grocery store in cleveland that has changed hands three times and even closed down for several years one time but every time theyve been open, they have great meats. It has been a s&s for a few years now. The meats there are better than all the big name stores, maybe not publix but theyre right the with them, cost less though. They have ribeyes for $6.99-7.99 on a regular basis, not all the time, but alot. Im sure glad to have them around.

Down here their meat ain't no better than Wally World now. But you can always find deals on that Mexican beef from El'CHEWO though. And the buy 1 get on free is really a joke 🤣🤣🤣 Heck i can buy 2 at the PW for the price of one at Winn Dixya, and i don't even need no stupid card lol......

12/4/2019, Publix opens 1/2 mile from our neighborhood and my boycott of Winn Dixie begins. I'm not boycotting them due to any political or social issue, but because the ones here in town are atrocious. Terrible customer service and they all seem to smell weird...

That's true. We typically buy all our meat products from Wrights. Definitely best quality around and super helpful at the meat counter. Just couldn't pass up the price this time.

Last T-bone I got from WD was like chewing on rubber. Wasn’t cooked past medium either. Costco does have the best meat. I go to the Publix beside my house a good bit and their meat is good but they will break it off in you.
