If I'm AD Greene at AU, it's pretty simple when Gus comes to me and says that Arky has offered him WalMart money so he needs to renegotiate his contract, I'd tell him he has a contract with AU, honor it or let me know you are leaving by the end of the day, please. If he quits; he owes the barn $7 million

If I'm AD Greene at AU, it's pretty simple when Gus comes to me and says that Arky has offered him WalMart money so he needs to renegotiate his contract, I'd tell him he has a contract with AU, honor it or let me know you are leaving by the end of the day, please. If he quits; he owes the barn $7 million I think they could work out something on that.

Agree; I would think they agree to disagree and he walks if he wants to and if Arky will substantially match his current contract. Which would be INSANE; but's that's where we are now.
