I've taken my oldest daughter turkey hunting, but my son is finally old enough to get dirty in the woods with me. Ended up raking( braking the rake) seeding, fertilizer, put up feeder with corn and a mineral block in the spot my dad killed 2 last year. Had deer here the last two mornings, hope to start getting in more does. But little man was a great supervisor and helper. Nothing like a good dog whowill stay while you go to the truck for more stuff.

Time with Dad.......the gift that is free, but invaluable. Man I sure do miss when my boys were that age. My I recommend doing something special when you hunting/work the land. For my son we always stop at the corner store and get slurppies (sp?). It is a memory that hopefully he can have for a lifetime and share with his children.

We stopped by burgerking and got a cookie. Usually stop at the same store and get a morning biscuit after hunting with my daughter. Great idea

Everything that was said above !

That's what is all about ! Hug em and love em like no tomorrow.. it will fly by AND he will remember ! Did I say he will remember!

Aint gonna be easy as he grows older but then again I have 4 boys. 3 or the 4 got lots arse whippings and turned out great, and the youngest heard stories and was cool and calm...never a problem. Dont know where Im going with this....but I to see kids with their dads doing whatever.

Embrance this time my friend !

What kind of dog is that AUwrestler? Our pup looks very similar, she’s a farm collie mix.
