IMO We are a good team but not a great team. Offense is clicking and we will score on everyone. Our run blocking needs work but it’s good to see some good runs by the backs yesterday and the previous game against ole Miss. Still playing a little undisciplined and racking up too many penalties. Our defense is still suspect. Gave up some big gains and a wide open TD on a busted coverage yesterday. Overall, I think we will be fine but without a true 2 dimensional offense and defense giving up a bunch of yards, it’s gonna be tough to beat both LSU and Auburn and get to Atlanta. I’m happy to be 6-0 and not complaining about the record! Just trying to be a realist. What are y’alls opinion?

I'm thinking about going back after my doctorate... then gonna ask nick to give me a shot at kicker..... That's the only way I see us getting beat....

In my opinion Bama is beginning to come together as a team. Is the defense as good as it has been? No. But the offense will offset that and that is something we’ve never had. We can go fast and score or we can slow it down. We have the weapons to do that. What happens remains to be seen but I like our chances. RTR!

What's with Bama's kickers? Not stirring the pot but seriously, WTH is up with the kickers?
The team had a long history of solid, dependable kickers. Roger Chapman in the late 70s, Peter Kim, Van Tiffin, others. I think the team hit something l like 780 PATs without a miss at one point, right? And missed field goals were rare.
I get that Saban's offense is geared toward scoring touchdowns, as it should be. But damn, sometimes you have to kick a field goal. And even he admits when they kick, it gnaws his guts.
Why can't they get a reliable never-any-doubt kicker?
As for the rest of the team, IMO the offense looks pretty great and the defense is coming along about as well as expected by midseason for an injury-plagued group that had to replace some stout guys. LSU will be a big test.

Their base defense has some significant issues. When number 35 is in the middle we are getting crushed. I think all the coordinator changes have had as big an impact as the injuries. Players just aren't in position to make the plays and aren't playing instinctively.
The good thing is Bama is getting better on defense. Sabans teams have always gotten better on defense as the season progresses. I just dont know if the season is long enough this year.

Not our best team but still have time to get better before LSU. Our schedule is pathetic. Not our fault that all these teams sux. Got to believe that if LSU doesn’t put pressure on Tua like they did against Fl Tua will pick them apart. I like our chances. RTR!!!

Defense is porous and the offense is one dimensional. LSU, will beat Alabama

Youth at ILB is a definite weakness but Bama doesn't have a dominant defensive lineman that requires a double team. OLs from other teams are getting to the second level and the youngsters are having difficulty getting off blocks. Mayden seems to be the weakest link in the secondary. I think the LSU game will be a shootout for all the marbles in the SEC and possibly national championship.... Texas doubled Teamed 2 different Bama Players yesterday on one play. Wanna say it was Monds biggest run of the game

I think our kicking issues are recruiting&coaching related. Far as this team not to sound Belichik like but let's just take them one at a time.
Only hits count.
