I've got a glass top stove that loses power. I've checked the wires at the outlet and wires connected to the stove. They look good. If I cut an eye on the stove starts working again but cuts back off after a few minutes. What's the deal?

Sounds like in the control panel maybe. Just had to replace a stove because they don’t make the parts anymore. It was as an LG though. You might have better luck with Frigidaire

Those damn glass stoves are freaking terrible. I have never seen one that works right with regular family use. Just replace the thing with a solid gas stove where you can see the fire.

see if its got a thermal disc somewhere in there, maybe look on the schematic for a reset able thermalfuse. if so, is something making it too hot, or is it bad.

Went and bought a new stove. It did the exact same thing. I went to the breaker box and flipped it a couple of times. And it started working. I guess it had something to do with the breaker. The cord and outlet were fine. I'm gonna hook the old stove back up tomorrow and see what happens.

My wife hates ours, but they are the easiest stove to clean. Our sub division is electric only, so she doesn't have a choice.
