The millennials I see are more libertarian. They’re way better savers than any generation except maybe my great grandparents. I don’t see that at all, but maybe that’s what happens when you want to live at home forever and be worthless.

I read that Generation Z was trending more conservative. I read that too. I don’t believe it. More people than ever live in big cities. And demographics are changing. Urban, less white.

My kids are also very conservative. My 12 year old son is very keen on these things. Im not seeing the MTV hellraisers I and my friends were.

My son is conservative but nearly all of his friends are the opposite. And the majority of the millennials I've seen are very left.

As a millennial myself, I think there’s a growing contingent of libertarians among my age group. A lot of us already know social security will be over before we collect on our investment, we are aware that the national debt is still growing and will be ours to pay back, but most don’t care for the conservative social views. We lived through the recession and many are jaded by that because of how it affected jobs and careers. Yeah there are the very vocal liberals but there are many libertarian leaning millennials that just want to be left alone by government. I can agree with that. I'm technically a millennial myself.

Kids are generally going to reflect the values and politics of their biggest influencers. If the parents are actively involved then the kids will generally reflect their values as they mature. If the parents allow social media, iPads and schools to raise their kids then those influences will determine the kids values. Kids haven't changed. Generations will always reflect their raising or lack of.
