Always sounds like a good idea, but then I have dry mouth and taste like a camel crapped in my mouth.

I walked in a Cigars International last month when I was in Dallas and they had the Pappy cigars. $28 a stick. A little rich for me. lol.

If you get your name on the list you can get a box cheaper than that price directly from the distillery. They usually release around August. Just in time for football season.

I’m a Drew Estate fan or some of thier partneships. I’m into Muwat Fat Molly at the moment, good rugged smoke . I like the Acid line when i have a couple of hours to enjoy em. Not your typical cigar ,but i like the change. Been burning them for 10 yrs now and they don’t dissapoint.

Yep. I like a black cavendish. Pipe tobacco is a fraction of the cost of a cigar, even for the highest end tobacco.

yes it is ... down below is a Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipe that set me back maybe $6-7 ... the tobacco's i smoke most often are usually around $1-3 per lb ... i can usually get between 20-30 smokes out of a lb of pipe tobacco

Some dudes here have some good taste in 'gars...flavored cigars are for people who shop at Walmark and drive a 1998 Buick Regal with an off color door on it and wear visors instead of real ball caps (kidding) but there is nothing like a good cigar, tho I had to quit them, it was leading me back to demon cigarettes. Pipes smell wonderful but they never tasted as good as they smelled to me. My daddy was a sales guy his whole adult life, and he said one thing to remember, a pipe smoker will never make a decision on anything, they'll just look and think on it.

HA!!! let me think about that & get back to ya - first time i've heard this comment wink regarding the taste/smell "gap", it is true for some blends -- but the ones that have little to no topping/casing (ie flavorings) are more true to smell/taste ... being a former cig smoker, a straight burley would be right up your alley ...

James have you ever tried ACID cigars by drew estates they are flavored/infused cigars but are a lot better quality than Swishers. I beleive they are actually made by the same company.

That’s right. I smoke a country gentleman I believe. It’s about a $12 pipe.

Did you mean pound or oz? What I get is about $4 an oz.

I don't smoke them too much anymore but always preferred a Fuente, Macanudo, Punch or Montecristo in maduro or regular.

APOLOGIZE - yes, I meant to say an oz of tobacco ... and you're correct, the Country Gentleman is a little more expensive & is also a very fine cob pipe (I have a few of them, as well) ... the one pictured above is an unfinished Missouri Pride; it has a smaller chamber than your CG cob
