I have looked at three separate websites and all three forecast rain for this weekend specifically next Monday. I have been contemplating letting my food plots this Thursday on my day off but not sure if I want to do that if there’s not going to be any more rain for another several weeks. May just wait till the end of October or first of November to plan just to be on the safe side. Anyone else waiting till later in the season to plant?

If the forecast still show a 40% for next week I'll plant about a third of my fields this weekend. With the temp staying down in the 80s next I'm not worried about the seed cooking and they will come up when it rains.

I’m not slinging seed until I’m confident of rain.

Yeah it’s only calling for 10% chance of rain after Monday for the rest of the week.
I wanted to have my plots planted before the season but if I do the seed will be eaten before they can sprout.

Not planting this weekend heck we need some rain just to disc. With only a 40% chance and my serious doubts that it’ll rain enough to do much for the moisture level to our ground we’re gonna wait.

I'm going to give it a shot this weekend. Chance of rain Sunday night and Monday morning looks pretty promising. I may hold off on my clover until we get into a better pattern of rain but I want to at least get some wheat and oats out to start coming up.

Went ahead and planted today, just as I was finishing up it rained for about 20 mins, so glad to see that rain.
