I’m about to buy a mini excavator. Never had insurance on skid steers or tractors. I want to insure this equipment. I have everything else insured with Alfa and happy with them. Any of y’all use a specific company for insuring equipment.

Only insurance I have through Alfa is a tractor and equipment and it’s ridiculously cheap.

I added some farm equipment on to my State Farm policy. It’s very cheap.

I’ll post a link to the company that insures my tractor, trailer and stuff. They specialize in equipment coverage.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Be VERY careful if you do any work for others for pay. Custom work liability insurance is a whole different animal than just physical damage coverage.

I could only get liability from Alfa when I used to do some bush hogging on the side. They charged about $1200 a year and that was about what I was making doing the work. I gave it up.

You know I'm an Alfa agent, I insured a mini-ex just a few weeks ago on one of our machinery policies. Just silly cheap, covers it just like your car except for the liability. I don't have the price off top of my head, but holler at your agent in the morning and he can tell you in moments. Only thing that could change it is IF you use it for "business" purposes....but even then we got about 6 or 8 different carriers to put it with. Easy stuff thumbup

If you are buying new, odds are the full coverage from the dealer will be cheaper than your agent could do. I know it was for me..

A friend of mine had a John Deere skid steer with a forestry grade bush hog on the front that burned about two weeks ago. He had less than a year left to pay on it and the insurance paid off the balance and gave him $4,000.

Mine was considerably cheaper through my agent than through the dealer, but I have quite a few things insured through them. Bundle and save!!

Ask your agent about an equipment floater(aka) inland marine if it's for commercial use. Probably cheapest way to go and easy to write. I'm sure Brandon can take care of you. Very common and many carriers. thumbup
