On our way to church this morning and it’s moving to see all of the police that have came into Tuscaloosa today for officer Cousetts funeral. Some are in from as far away as Orange beach. Other squad cars I couldn’t make out where they were from but there were a lot. Sad day for everybody in Ttown.

There was a group that paid off the mortgage on the family home of the officer that was killed earlier this year in Auburn.
Hopefully the same will happen in Tuscaloosa, won't bring them back but make it easier.

That’d be nice for them. I just stood on side of the road and watched them escort him home. Prob 300 patrol cars rode by from all over. Some were Everyman from Mississippi. I hope I don’t have to see that again.

Prayers for him and family. That is normal with law enforcement. I remember years ago we had a Sgt with local sheriff's office get murdered and everyone showed up for the manhunt. For days everyone worked together. I remember seeing federal, state and local agencies. Didn't know who some of the federal agencies were. Same thing for the funeral. There were departments and honor guard from all over the South and up the East coast. That's how it should be. Never forget the sacrifices of fallen officers. You can read about them on the ODMP website. flag

I was heading down 359 to meet a client when the funeral procession came through. A group of 100+ bikers stopped on the highway and everybody got out of their vehicles and stood by the median barricade as the procession went by. It made me late by 40 minutes but I didn't care, it was awesome to see men and women of all different races, religions, background, etc coming together to honor the fallen TPD officer. I will never forget it
