I did this for a while. I'm in a bass club that draws partners. We are always in need of no-boaters. It was easy for me to keep fishing.

Went to Cabela's today at lunch. Let's just say the aluminum Tracker and Ranger boats are off my buy list. Really disappointed in the quality of the Ranger aluminum boats. They didn't have any Targa boats for me to look at. I worked in the service garage at bass pro one summer and would never own a tracker boat.

I have a 2013 Tracker 175 and I like it and I am looking to upgrade and I am considering a Tracker 190 or 195. But I am also looking at other aluminum brands so just curious on what brought you to that conclusion.

Busted welds, electrical issues, etc. Every boat has issues, they just seemed to have way more than others.

Looked at one last Sunday. 2011 Nitro 290 Sport. Optimax 200 with 72 hours. Being sold by elderly person who no longer uses it, priced way below market at $22,500. When the price is too good to be true, it usually is. I nicknamed this boat the SS Mildew, ran by Capt. Mold and crewed by a group of Dry Rot Tires (4). Standing water inside most compartments, never performed any maintenance on engine except annual lower unit oil change. Nope. Nope. Nope. It someone had the patience, time, and/or money to re carpet and remove the funk and service the engine you could have a nice boat. Just not me. These boats usually run 30K or more.
Oh well, I have another boat to go look at this Saturday. Stay tuned.

Oh well, I have another boat to go look at this Saturday. Stay tuned. Bummer I was texting with a boat owner who had his boat listed at $20,500. While texting back and forth, his wife goes on FB and raises the price to $22,500. He refused to honor the original price if I wanted to come look at it. Last time I looked, it is still listed for sale.
