I'm gonna give a DIY skull mount a whirl. Some use bleach some use peroxide to whiten. Seems like bleach will get it whiter quicker but leaves the bone powdery and flakey. I plan on solving this by spraying the skull with a clear coat. Anyone done one? What are your thoughts?
Old enough to know better but still too young too care!

Baquil or volume 40. Some will sell you the volume 50. If they do get it. Never ever use Clorox or off brand bleach. It wont bleach the skull enough and will make the bone turn to chalk over time.

Bleach works but will make it brittle. Peroxide, dawn, and a low boil for as long as needed. Boiling it in peroxide speeds up the whitening process tremendously. Even Volume 10, 3% Hydrogen Peroxide works well for this. Volume 40 is even better, but it is 12% Hydrogen Peroxide, not 40%. I personally don't like painted skulls.

It basically involves several different colors of spray paint and a tote full of water
